Here is the traditional mosaic work also called millefiori.
This is a mosaic made up of many pieces of colored cane hand-worked then melted together at about 1,200 degrees. After the melting they are cooled very slowly in the ovens called tempera to prevent them from cracking. Once cooled they are ground and polished by hand.

Made entirely by hand in Murano.
