Tagliapietra is one of the most highly regarded masters in Murano. These alexandrite glass acrobats are the last two pieces in our collection and date from the 1990s. Tagliapietra's sculptures are highly sought after by collectors, especially those with unusual colors such as this one, which today is no longer in production even by request.
This sculpture is a rare and wonderful piece by Andrea Tagliapietra.
Made using the peculiar alessandrite techniques, its colour varies from purple, to indigo, to blue according to the light source. This work wants to represent the mother's love and attachment to her child.
The statue is accompanied by the original labels and signed by the Master with a diamond tip.
